3 Communes

The first Commune established around Osho was in Pune, India, from 1974 to 1981. it is a period commonly referred to as ‘Pune One’. See more here.

The second Commune was established in Oregon, USA, from 1981 to 1985. It started as a model agricultural commune known as ‘The Ranch’, and developed into the City of Rajneeshpuram. See more here.

The third Commune arose when Osho returned to Pune in 1987. See more here.  It is still in existence today, known as Osho Meditation Resort.
